deBlob a big enough hit to get a sequel

deBlob, our recently awarded Game of the Year, has luckily sold enough that THQ are giving the franchise another go. In the US for December the game sold through 230,000 copies which, while not a big number compared to some blockbusters, was enough for THQ to green light more deBlob. Speaking to IGN, THQ had this to say about the IP; Were pleased with de Blobs performance worldwide. Its a great intellectual property and you can tell your readers to expect to see more of de Blob in the future. As long as its as good the current game and adds in some new things it can only end up being even greater than the original.
