Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare officially confirmed – First trailer released

The existence of this year’s Call of Duty has been “leaked” ahead of it’s planned unveiling this weekend, and has now been officially confirmed by Activision.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was first uncovered by Destructoid who first had a leaked trailer of the game, Activision then conceding defeat went and uploaded the trailer to Youtube themselves.

Advanced Warfare is set even further into the future now with soldiers armed with exosuits, cloaking abilities and even hover-bikes. There’s even more drones and UAVs flying around than ever before.

The trailer features actor Kevin Spacey as the games antagonist. Not just just his voice, but his entire likeness is modelled in the game. He’s the leader of a private military  company and he’s not happy with the United States at all. Thus war.

The trailer ends with a release of November 4th 2014 and a Xbox One and Xbox 360 bumper card. It’s safe to assume the game is coming to formats other than those and being cross-gen we should hopefully see a Wii U version, although nothing has been confirmed yet.

CoD, schmod. This looks more like typical CoD with more tech from the ‘futuristic’ kinda shooters such as Halo, Titanfall, Crysis etc.

Though, Spacey starpower is undeniably cool
