Art Academy: Atelier arrives in Australia this July

Update: Nintendo Australia has left us know that Art Academy: Atelier will be released on 4th July here in Australia and New Zealand.

If you have already purchased Art Academy: SketchPad it will be a reduced AU$44.75/NZ$63.15 otherwise its AU$49.95/NZ$69.95

Original Story: You might have thought it was dead, but no Art Academy for the Wii U is alive and well and due out next month.

Now called Art Academy: Atelier the game will be released in Europe on June 26th, the same day as Yoshi’s Wooly World. Before you Google it, Atelier is the french word for workshop.

Unlike Art Academy: SketchPad which was released all the way back in 2013 this is the full Art Academy experience and includes 30 lessons to help make your the next Picasso. You can also export your creations to the SD card and of course Miiverse.

But wait, there’s more! Nintendo have taken it one step further adding the same YouTube upload ability we saw in Mario Kart 8 to the game. The YouTube upload will contain a time-lapse of your artwork showing the world just how long you took to draw that big veiny…. Mario.

The game is a budget title in Europe and should be here too, there’s also a discount if you already on SketchPad. We’ll check with Nintendo Australia if the title is destined to hit our shores or not.

I’ve used Sketchpad 3 times now and it’s pretty good!
Quite exicited to get back into the drawing scene!
