Nintendo Australia has announced that Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival will be released here in Australia and New Zealand on November 21st.

For a limited time only there will be special edition of the game will not only an Isabelle amiibo, but also Digby. We assume Nintendo will stop offering Digby later on but this wasn’t made clear. There will also bee three amiibo cards included in the both.

No word yet on whether or when the newly announced wave of amiibo are coming our way.

We’ll let you know when pricing is available but with two amiibo and some cards included who knows what it’ll be priced at!

Sigh, makes me wish they made a PROPER Animal Crossing game for the Wii U…

If this is in fact a free-to-download game, then I would expect this to cost no more than $60, which is already considerably pricier than the two amiibo included in the package. Factoring in the cost of disc production, I think it’s a sensible price, particularly when you consider how bare-bones the actual game appears to be.

I predict that a new Animal Crossing game will be released on Wii U next year that combines both the mechanics of New Leaf and Happy Home Designer into a single, cohesive experience. It won’t provide much in the way of new content per se, similarly to how Let’s Go To The City on Wii was handled, but it would most likely be the beefiest Animal Crossing experience to date. Considering that Nintendo have already gone out of their way twice, with both Plaza and Amiibo Festival on Wii U, Nintendo have most of the assets good and ready to go to put toward a new game. With very little announced for 2016, and to maintain the momentum for HHD for as long as possible, I’m confident that Nintendo will announce a new main series AC for release for next year.

I just hope that Nintendo will incorporate local multiplayer for the Wii U game (with one player utilising the gamepad).

Hey Vook what do you mean Digby will stop being offered? It’s available separately according to EB.

Pretty sure they mean he’ll eventually stop being offered in the game bundle, going from Nintendo saying that the bundle with both Amiibo is a special edition.
