EA has posted a job-listing on the GameDev website, looking for designers for handheld versions of Spore, no exact systems are mentioned however we know Will Wright has given the Nintendo DS high praise before so a DS version could be in the works.
Spore was the PC hit from last years E3, it’s basically the Sims but with Micro organisms, you start with a single cell microbe and build and evolve that microbe into a entire civilization.
