Resident Evil 4 on the Wii has now overtaken sales of the GameCube version but its still under the PS2 version

It’s financial report season and instead of listing off a bunch of numbers about net profit, revenue and shipments we’ll just tell you how well Resident Evil 4 Wii Version is selling. Sales of the Wii shooter have now surpassed that of the GameCube version first released in 2005.

Total sales are now at 1.6 million copies and while that has passed the GameCube sales amount it’s still behind the PS2 version which is on 2.1 million copies. 1.6 million copies of a game that has already sold in excess of 3 million on other console and on the Wii is great to see.
