Nintendo UK has confirmed that the Wii is now the fastest selling video game console, with 105,000 systems sold in the UK already. Nintendo previously said that 50,000 Wii units were sold in the first 12 hours.
The Wii is also the first console to sell over 100,000 units in its opening weekend – more than double than what the GameCube did at launch which sold a mere 50,000. 14 titles made launch in the UK, with the highest being #5 with Zelda Twilight Princess. Source: GameIndustry.biz
