Normally we dont report on the Sony Press Relations team and their attitude towards Nintendo, but this comment made by Dave Karraker recently takes the cake. Talking to the New York Times, Karraker says that the Wii doesn’t belong in the same category as the PS3.

“”Wii could be considered an impulse buy more than anything else,”" Karraker said. Sony believes that while the Wii is attracting newcomers, while the PlayStation will be the console of choice for hard-core and committed gamers. I guess anything priced a thousand dollars couldnt be considered an impulse.
