Wii hardware shortages hitting Australia hard too

Those crazy Wii shortages weve been seeing since the launch of Wii in America have finally come home as delays hit even Australia. Speaking to GameSpot AU, Nintendo Australia public relations coordinator Heather Murphy has said that despite putting out 10,000 units of Wii hardware in the first week of January that shipment is already gone. 20,000 more Wiis will hit Australia, half today and half by the end of the week, but these will be all the consoles available to Nintendo until the end of February. More inside Stores are feeling the pinch as well with many Christmas orders still not able to be filled, some even suggesting that less then half their allotment has arrived and anything ordered in this year wont be fulfilled until March. If you have seen any shortages around or have been unable to get a Wii yourself let us know.
