Both WB and developer 5th Cell are happy with the first initial sales of Scribblenauts

Publisher Warner Bros and developer 5th have spoken out about the sales of DS hit Scribblenauts. In its first two weeks on sale in the US Scribblenauts sold through an impressive 195,000 copies. When Drawn to Life was launched it only about 40,000 sales and still went on to sell a million which means good things for the game. Jeremiah Slaczka co-founder and creative director at 5th Cell has said that "WB took a chance and supported the title where others wouldnt or didnt, which I wish more publishers would do."

It seems Warner Bros is happy trying new IPs with a representative saying "We are open to experimenting with IP and brands we believe in as part of our casual game strategy and overall slate. Scribblenauts is a strong brand with a lot of potential. You never know what the future holds."

Scribblenauts broke into the top ten charts in Australia in its second week of release in here Australia and is holding quite well on the DS charts.
