Recently there have been numerous reports from European sources that Ubisoft talked about the sequel to the Wii launch title Red Steel at a recent press event. However, it seems Ubisoft are not in the mood to confirm the development of Red Steel 2 to the general public yet. Initial reports from sources at the press event indicate that the new title is supposed to boast a much improved swordplay system along with online multiplayer support. You would be making a pretty safe bet to say that Red Steel is getting a sequel. The only thing really missing is the official confirmation but who worries about that these days? Source: GoNintendo
