CSI: Fatal Conspiracy for consoles, CSI: Unsolved! for DS

Ubisoft yesterday announced that new instalments in their popular ’Crime Scene Investigation’ titles are to be released for most major platforms in October of this year. CSI: Fatal Conspiracy will be released for Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The game will feature five interconnected cases, written by the same writers from the prime time television programme. "Ubisoft is pleased to once again give CSI fans an authentic crime-solving video game with CSI: Fatal Conspiracy," Adam Novickas had to say, U.S. director of marketing at Ubisoft. "CSI: Fatal Conspiracy takes it to the next level by unveiling the truth through five connected cases, creating a unique experience of interaction and suspense for the CSI fans."

The game is developed by point-and-click veteran, Telltale Games, centering around Season 10. It features major characters, and will have an emphasis on collecting evidence (with the latest detective tools) and interviewing witnesses.

CSI: Unsolved! will also be available on the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DS systems, as a handheld counterpart. The touch screen is of course integral to gameplay, being used to dust for fingerprints and ‘perform delicate evidence extractions.’

Interviewing witnesses Phoenix Wright-style and analysing evidence in technology-based minigames (think x-ray scanners, bullet comparisons, etc.) will be the main draw cards for the title. The DSi version also has an exclusive feature – ‘Make use of the camera for exclusive lab and field work.’ Other Ocean is developing CSI: Unsolved!
