Ubisoft today announced that critically-acclaimed music composer Tom Salta will be supplying the soundtrack for the upcoming Wii title, Red Steel. Tom’s previous work includes games such as Project Gotham Racing 3, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter which received awards for Best video Game Score at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards.

Ubisoft says Salta used instruments such as the Koto, Shamisen, Shakuhaci and Taiko. All were performed by Japanese musicians such as the percussion group Taikoza. The soundtrack also includes opera singers and expert violinists.

You can listen to a sample of the soundtrack on Toms website located here
