Heres another surprising announcement (!). It has just been revealed that Splinter Cell Double Agent has been officially moved from the GameCube to Wii, and according to Ubisoft the game will “”be available for the hotly anticipated launch of Nintendo’s new console”". This now makes Ubisofts launch commitment a heady 8 games.

More details inside.

UPDATE:Ubisoft have sent us 5 screens of the game and they can be found here

Double Agent for Wii will make use of the Wiimote and Nunchuck attachment. There’s no concrete information on how the game will control as Ubisoft Montreal (the game’s developer) are still tweaking it. Sadly like most launch games, online will be missing and WiiConnect24 is still an unknown. Expectably, this game is based off the GameCube build however it will include upgraded graphics and gameplay.
