For those not in the know, Nintendo recently released Animal Crossing: City Folk Let’s Go To The City in Australia, and those of you who have been reading the manual may have noticed that Nintendo themselves have acknowledged that one of the series’ trademark characters, Mr. Resetti, may be disturbing to children. Citing Mr. Resetti’s personality and tone of voice as being reasons for the disturbed feelings your children may feel, the manual actually goes into quite a bit of detail into, well, “”covering up”" Mr. Resetti’s behaviour. It is important that players save before switching off the Wii console in order to retain data after each play session (see Saving Data, above). If players switch off without saving, the character Mr. Resetti may appear upon restarting. Mr. Resettis purpose is to teach players the importance of saving. However, parents should be aware that his personality and tone of voice, while intentionally humourous, are authoritative and may be disturbing to young children. – Animal Crossing: City Folk instruction booklet
