The Great Giana Sisters, a game that had to be withdrawn from sale almost as soon as it was released (Due to strong similarites with the Mario Bros. games) is seeing a revival on the Nintendo DS. The game is said to contain more than 80 levels, and contain new features exclusive to the Nintendo DS. Slated for release in June 2009, will the game do away with the similarities that kept it off the shelves for over 20 years? Or will the fact that it will be on the Nintendo DS be enough to protect it from Nintendo’s legal arm? Will it even be a copy at all? We doubt it this time around.
