A few days back the 1Up.com Podcast revealed that Reggie Fils-Aime, President of Nintendo America and resident name taker, had said that Smash Bros Brawl would be heading to Europe (and by default Australia) in theFall (which for the seasonally illiterate begins September). According to new information it seems that Reggie may have been misquoted on the matter. Either that or someone let the cat out of the bag.More inside Reggie did tell me (and the other media present) that the release had been pushed out of the winter/spring time frame due to the amount of localization required to get the game up and running all the various European languages. However, Reggie did not say WHEN Europeans will get Smash Bros., just that it would be at a later date than the U.S. The date is now back up in the air, but be sure it wont be coming any time soon.
We have contacted Nintendo Australia in a effect to get some level of clarification.
