Rumours have been floating around the internet for a while that a sequel to the acclaimed but poorly selling Wii adventure game, “”Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure”" might be in the works. Sadly, it has recently been confirmed that this will not be the case any time soon. Christian Svensson, Vice-President of Strategic Planning & Business Development of Capcom, has denied the rumours of a sequel with the statement; “”weve not announced another Z&W and Im not so sure there will be one on any reasonable timeline.”" More inside This could be interpreted in a couple of ways. Those of us who are optimistic might read it as, there may be a sequel sometime in the future, but it’s nowhere near the pre-planning stages yet, while the other, less optimistic of us could see it as the tombstone on the grave of a great, yet short lived IP.
Either way, you can bet your last piece of gold that there’s definitely not going to be a sequel to Zack and Wiki anytime in the near future.
