SEGA has now officially confirmed for us what we already knew via Nintendo Power; Samba De Amigo is heading to the Wii. Samba De Amigo, a Dreamcast and Arcade cult classic helped popularise the rhythm music game genre so many people enjoy today. The Wii version is a completely new game for the console and not just a simple port or update. Samba Di Amigo sees you don the role of Amigo, a grinning, sombrero-topped monkey. The Wii Remote and Nunchuck are utilised like maracas shaken in time with the music on the screen. The game is being developed by Gearbox Software will be exclusively available for the Wii mid next year.
