The WiiWare service is getting the new games, but could the remake of the first be coming too?
Telltale is bringing the all new Monkey Island games to WiiWare, but the remake of the original so far is only slated for the Xbox 360 and PC – but that could be changing. Out July 7th, Tales of Monkey Island is new series of MI games from the guys who brought us the Sam and Max franchise back to life but Secret of Monkey Island is a remake of the first title however that title could be heading to Wii.
Craig Derrick, Producer of Monkey Island: Special Edition has said “Well, we never said we wouldnt be on Wiiware or PSN now did we. The truth is, though, Xbox LIVE offers a great user experience and downloadable service to gamers and we think its a great platform to launch the game on. And, of course, the game will also be available on PC via digital download, plus we may have another platform announcement to make very, very soon.”
