Accessory maker tweets potential release date
While we won’t find out for sure until September 29th, it looks like someone might have let the cat out of the bag early. An alleged employee of accessory maker KeysFactory, Takahiro Amano has tweeted “On November 20th, eleven 3DS products that we designed will go on sale all at once. People who are buying the 3DS, buy it at the same time! There will be more details on our home page.” The link was for the homepage of the KeysFactory website. While one singular tweet on the internet is in no way a confirmation, KeysFactory would be already creating accessories for the system if the November 20th release date is true.
While we wouldn’t expect to see the 3DS everywhere on November 20th, it is a possibility for the Japanese date. Nintendo America boss Reggie Fils-Aime has previously said the handheld would be out in 2011, which may still be true.
With just 17 days to go until the Nintendo event where they’re expected to announce the release date, don’t think that this will be the only rumour between now and then.
