Ronimo Games developers of Swords & Soldiers say getting on the WiiWare is easier than Xbox Live Arcade.

Last week we were lucky enough to get the WiiWare title Swords & Soldiers on the Australian WiiWare service, and while it’s a great game, the deveoper, Ronimo Games, has been talking up WiiWare as a platform itself. Fabian Akker at Ronimo has said in a new interview with the Official Nintendo Magazine that "It’s so easy to get your games out there! It’s much harder on Xbox Live", he explains. "It was tough at first to get a license from Nintendo, we were just kids from school — but THQ helped us a lot."

"It’s an open platform, it’s relatively cheap and it gives you loads of freedom. And the Wii controls are perfect for this game. I found it really weird that there were no RTS games on the Wii. The remote’s pointer is perfect for the genre".

Akker also said they plan to have their next game on the service as well. Swords and Soldiers is available now on the Wii Shopping Channel for 1000 Points.
