The Wii has without a doubt ensured its position as the number one item for this Christmas holiday. Unfortunately the demand is so high even a year after the consoles launch that Reggie-Fils-Aime has very recently apologised to the consumers hungry for this holiday gift in a hastily organised Conference Call. We understand and sympathise with the frustration of consumers said Reggie while he reminded listeners that Wii production has been upped twice. New York Times has reported that Nintendo will lose up to $1 billion in sales because of the console shortages. Reggie also hinted at a possibility that DS shortages may soon follow the trend.
