Reggie Fils-Aime has touted the new DSis downloadable software service in promoting the new handheld but has declared that Nintendo will offer a higher standard of quality assurance for games licensed for release on the service. In comparing the DSis offerings to the glut of games already available for Apples touch-control capable iPhone, Reggie has claimed… More inside “”We are taking a film-festival approach high-class content done by knowledgeable developers in creating fantastic experiences for the consumer instead of the YouTube approach of everything under the sun that is difficult for the consumer to navigate through”" Wired magazine.

For comparison, Apples approval process to license games for the iPhone is fair less stringent that Nintendo- all that developers require is pay $100 USD application, and meet Apples loose classification requirements. The Big N is far more picky, and requests that devs acquire a dedicated development kit, as well as endure a lengthier approval process.
