Red Steel 2 pushed to 2010 for more polish

Ubisoft has delayed Red Steel 2 until next year, it give it extra polish says the boss

Two of Ubisofts big holiday games have just become Q1 2010 games. Splinter Cell Conviction and Red Steel 2 have been pushed into the last quarter of Ubisoft financial year which means some early in 2010.

"Red Steel [and Splinter Cell] are going to greatly benefit from the additional polishing time we are providing and will clearly be among the leading brands on the Wii and 360 for the March quarter. The changes on Splinter Cell and Red Steel – it’s just a question of polish. The team was asking that they couldn’t be with the level of quality on all the maps and all the game for the end of the year, so they had asked for more time to be able to come with a better product, for both of those games". says Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot.

This means that the end of 2009 now has no big Wii Motion Plus title other then the already released Wii Sports Resort. There is a spattering of releases that support the device but nothing that says “purchase validated” like Red Steel 2. So readers, what will you pick up now instead of Red Steel 2 and has this dampened your enthusiasm around Motion Plus?
