The latest edition of the Pokemon games, Diamond and Pearl, have now shipped (not sold) over 5 million units in just 3 months; just before the New Year sales period in Japan, which we would like to note is one of the busiest sales weeks of the year.
To compare, it took Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire 3 years to reach the same levels of shipments! As usual, we’ll be posting the Japanese sales charts on a weekly basis and we’ll be watching these games, as well as the Nintendo DS and Wii closely.
