In news that may instil fear into the heart of Nintendo fanboys, computer and video game website, MVC, is reporting that the PS3 is narrowing the gap in sales that currently exists between the PS3 and Wii in Japan. During October in Japan, the Wii sold over 110,000 units whilst the PS3 managed just over 47,000. This approximately 2-1 ratio in sales is in contrast to previous months where the Wii outsold the PS3 on a ratio of 6-1. More inside A recent drop in the price of the PS3 coupled with increased software are being cited as reasons for the narrowing margin. Will the PS3 catch the Wii in the future? Only time will tell. For now though, the Wii continues to be a worldwide success, including its homeland of Japan.
