Nintendogs Breaks Sales Records

Nintendogs, which already has considerable achievements to its name such as selling 80, 000 in its first day on sale and achieving a perfect 40/40 score in Famitsu, being one of only five to do so, now is even better news to Nintendo. Recent sales figures claim that the title sold 135, 000 copies as of April 24th, being released on April 21st. This means that in only four days it has outstripped the previous Japanese DS game sales record set by Super Mario 64 DS on its debut week, which sold 120, 000 copies.

Also Nintendo announced today in a recent press release that Hiroshi Yamauchi has retired from his position of management at Nintendo. However, he still retains his shareholder status and will keep his consultation role at Nintendo.
