Nintendo have moved to illegalise homebrew cartridges for their popular Nintendo DS system in Japan, alledgedly going to court in Tokyo to get such a law parsed. The law looks to prevent the sales and use of the cartridges such as R4DS and CycloDS which gamers are able to use to play illegally made copies of DS games for no cost (see: Piracy). It’s currently unknown which companies of the 53 are supporting Nintendo, but reported partners in this venture are Capcom, Namco Bandai, Konami and Square Enix being the major ones. Via: NeoGAF
