Just how much money does Nintendo make on each Wii sold? About $6, apparently. In comparison, Microsoft break even with the 360 and Sony actually lose money on the PS3. Also interesting is that 60% of Wii games purchased are first party titles, compared to the 360′s 30% and PS3′s 15%; couple that with Nintendo’s gross margin on game software 65% compared to Sony’s 60% and Microsoft’s 50% and we get a pretty good idea why the earned the money-printing gag.
