A year after Nintendo announced a Wii with DVD Playback it how now said that while the plan was to have it out by the end of this year this will not happen. Current stock shortages and production troubles the normal Wii is behind the decision with the company focused on getting as many of the current Wiis out as possible. Nintendo will release the DVD enabled Wii next year but still only in Japan. Via: Gamer.TM
