Nintendo Japan has unveiled the launch date and line-up for the DSi Ware service. The service which was promised to launch sometime in December will launch on the 24th. There will be a range of software available from day one; including free software like the Moving Memo (which Satoru Iwata demonstrated when the DSi was revealed) to software ranging in price from 200 points for simple games (Paper Aeroplane, Funny Face) to medium ranged games (Dr. Mario) at 500 points a pop and high range games like two new Brain Training editions which come at 1000 points individually. Details on each game and screenshots can be found inside. Free: Moving Memo

Not only does it take down notes and allow you to animate them, but it also records voice memos over the text along with sound effects. You can also take photos taken on the camera and copy them in. There is also a calendar in the software.

200 pts:

Funny Face

Scary Numbers

Each of the above games are used to demonstrate magic tricks using the DSi touch screen and micophone playback.

Bits of fruit falls down on clouds and, as a bird, you must catch them using the touchscreen to stretch out his tongue. If you get hit, it’s game over.

Paper Aeroplane (From Wario Ware)

Remember the paper airplane micro-game from WarioWare? Well it’s back and it has 3 modes this time. There is a time attack mode as well as multiplayer, all on the same DSi unit.

500pts

Art Style AQUARIOArt Style DECODE

Two new Art Style games are also on the new DSi. One caled Aquario and the other, Decode. The first as the name suggests has an ocean motif, and is a brick puzzler that’s played over two screens. Decode is a number puzzler and has multiplayer as well.

Dr. Mario

It’s Dr. Mario, ’nuff Said.

Utsusu Made in Wario (Imitate Wario)

Take a silhouette of yourself with the DSi camera, and then use that silhouette to play micro games just like any other WarioWare game.

Chotto Asobi Taizen (Compilation of 5 Clubhouse Games games)

5 games from Club House games in one download. They are all card games.

1000pts

Chotto Brain Training: Arts version – Chotto Brain Training: Science version

New editions in the Brain Training series, not full games like the retail games but smaller titles concentrating on Arts and Science. Games now use the Camera and the Microphone.

We’ll endevour to review all the above games when the service launches on December 24th.
