Nintendo: Now printing more money than banks

The Financial Times have calculated that the average Nintendo employee will generate more profit than an employee of the “”high-powered”" Goldman Sachs investment bank during 2007 – its best year. Each employee, by mean average, will print more than $1.6 million US in profit this year. Reportedly, the company manages this with less than 3,000 permanent employees, outsourcing even key products like Wii manufacturing and high profile nintendo titles, though overseen by Nintendo producers. More inside Nintendo claim that these figures underestimate profitability per employee as it accounts for some salaries as Research and Development spending.

Nintendo’s net profit target is set at 410 billion yen, or $3.9 billion US. Each employee will take home, a rather small in comparison, $90,900 US with the rest going to shareholders. It’s a good time to be a Nintendo shareholder.
