Two Wii Ware and Two DSi Ware games hit their respective stores this week

No Virtual Console this week, but this week’s updates are full of WiiWare and DSi Ware goodness. On the DSi we have PicoPict a great DSi Ware Art Style game. Clear the falling blocks to build up images of classic 8-bit Nintendo characters like Mario, Ice Climbers or Link, as you enjoy music composed by renowned Japanese chiptune band YMCK! PicoPict costs 500 points and is well worth the investment, we got the game when it hit the Japanese store and you can see our impressions here.

The other DSi Ware title is Pop Superstar: Road to Celebrity for 800 Points. According to Nintendo it’s a “hilarious adventure game gives you a light-hearted look at the celebrity music industry! Now you have the chance to climb the career ladder, build a fan base, record an album and embark on your very own world tour!”.

On the WiiWare side is Crystal Defenders R2 which funnly enough is the follow up to Crystal Defenders R1 set in the Final Fantasy Tactics universe. The game being is Penguins & Friends: Hey! Thats my Fish!, Nintendo described the same thusly “Do you have what it takes to be the king fisher? Battle against your friends to feed the most fish to the hungry penguins in this Antarctic-themed interactive board game for up to four players.” A good selection for both systems this week.
