Next Famitsu 40/40 goes to 428

The 40/40 Famitsu score has only been given to a few games in history, but now we can chalk another one up. While there is 9 games on the honour roll, three of those have been given this year with Sega’s visual novel for the wii titled 428 ~Fuusa Sareta Shibuya de~ getting the gong. The game is a visual novel which uses photographs to tell the story of a young man who is a virus researcher, a detective and a freelance writer. While the rest of the 40/40 team have made it out of Japan, don’t expect this one any time soon – or ever, for that matter. The market for that genre is sadly quite small in the west.
