New hardware sales figures have emerged for the UK, the new figures reveal the current installed bases for all the consoles and the comparison figure from last year. As of September 2008 the Wii is on 3.6 million up from last years 1.1 million. The Wii has also blown right past the Xbox 360 which is on 2.3 million and the PS3 on 1.4 million. On the handheld front the DS has exploded from 3.8 million to 7.1 in one years time, the PSP has only grown from 2.2 million to 2.9 million however. Source: Gamesindustry
