Mass bundling has caused Wii Sports Resort to bump New Super Mario Bros. off the top of the charts
While its not odd, we didnt expect to see New Super Mario Bros Wii lose its spot at the top of the charts this soon, much less to a much older game. Wii Sports Resort is the top game this week, no doubt helped by its inclusion in many retailer bundles in the lead up to Christmas. In fact, the top 6 of the charts is a clean sweep for the Wii, with the first non Nintendo game resting in position 7 (Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2).
The real winner here is Wii Fit Plus, the $100 or more title is constantly outselling even cheaper games – there are going to be as many Wii Balance Boards in Australia as there are consoles soon enough. Maybe.
