We had a feeling that Pokemon Diamond and Pearl were going to sell a lot because not only is it Pokemon and its in Japan, but this time its on the steaming hot Nintendo DS and boy did it sell. For the first four days of sales Pokemon Diamond sold through a whopping 813,237 and Pokemon Pearl a 762,029 with combined total of 1,575,266.

These sales figures are the best ever for the series, with Pokemon Gold/Silver previously selling 1,425,768 and Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire: 1,245,003 in the same period of time. Its no suprise because the games are great and we’ll have some hands on impressions of the Japanese version soon.
