Over 10 million copies of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games is good enough reason for a sequel in the eyes of SEGA and Nintendo. Mario Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games is the next sport infested title to be released on both the Nintendo DS and Wii. Each version will take advantage of the system’s unique controls. The Wii version will be taking advantage of the Balance Board and hopefully the Wii MotionPlus will somehow be implemented. The game will be out in late 2009. The first Olympic title featuring Mario and Sonic was also released the year before the actual Olympic games and sold very well.
