Youll be heading back to Kanto in the Gold and Silver remakes, its been confirmed
This week’s Pokemon Sunday, the show that revealed the existence of these remakes has confirmed (to the glee of many a worried Pokemon fan) that the region of Kanto will be in Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver. Footage from the show reveals that like the original game you can go back to Kanto (the land from Red and Blue in case you’ve been living under a rock) after you beat the Elite Four. You’ll catch the S.S. Aqua from Olivine City in Johto to Vermillion City. It also looks like Kanto may get a new coat of paint too with the Magnet Train shown to have a new look.
Also, the included PokeWalker will have a Wi-Fi event to go soon after the game launches. It’ll unlock the “Yellow Forest” which is full of Pikachu with special attacks. That event will run until November 10th, but we’re sure Nintendo will re run that event and others when the game makes it’s way over here. That is if they actually include the PokeWalker of course.
