A new instalment in Nintendo President Satory Iwata’s ‘Iwata Asks’ series has gone live, this time with a discussion of Mario Kart Wii. Joining him are Shigeru Miyamoto, Mario Kart producer Hideki Konno & Kenichiro Ashida, who developed the Wii Wheel. Talk ranges from the franchise’s history right through to the creation of the Wii Wheel (including prototype designs). Along the way they discuss the process of starting the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and issues involved in creating the online aspects of Mario Kart DS. Of course they also talk a lot about Mario Kart Wii and the addition of motorbikes, Miis and the other new features of the game.
