In another announcement today Nintendo has revealed that some first party GameCube titles will be re-released on Wii. The games so far known to be getting this treatment are the much-praised Cube launch title, Pikmin, and Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, developed by the team behind the more recent Super Mario Galaxy. A screenshot of Jungle Beat shows the ingame guide demonstrating how to attack with the Wiimote- so the games seem to have been adapted to have Wiimote controls (although we can’t confirm). More inside The titles will most likely be budget priced and are set to be released in Japanese stores in November, with no word on a PAL release as of the moment. Not quite the Pikmin announcement we were hoping for from this event, but cool none the less.

I sort of work in the background here you may have read my one (1) review! I also lurk the forums moderating when needed. But what really matters is my title. I think I'll make myself... vice president. No, wait! Junior vice president!
