Duke Nukem Forever may (or may not) actually still be in development, but that hasnt stopped publishers Deep Silver from returning to the 2D sidescrolling action of the original Nukem for a trilogy of all-new adventures on the DS. The tentative trilogy carries the monikers Duke Nukem Critical Mass, Duke Nukem Chain Reaction, and Duke Nukem Proving Grounds, with a semi-playable Alpha build of Critical Mass playable at this weeks Games Developers Conference. More inside Each game will have on the order of 36 levels each and offer about 12 or more hours of gameplay. But what of the Dukes trademark violence and womanizing habits? The design team have describes that it will be tasteful, but itll still be Duke.
