Based on the upcoming movie, Transformers: The Game will be heading our way at the same time. IGN have posted an interview with Andy Burrows, the producer of the console versions at Travelers Tales has revealed some new and previously unknown snippets of information about the games. Transformers: The Game will be developed by Travelers Tales for the PS2/PS3/360/Wii/PC with Savage building the PSP version and Vicarious Visions working on the DS versions.

More Inside There will be two different campaigns in the game, one for the Autobots and one for the Decepticon. The Aubobot campaign follows closely to the movie plot while the Decepticon changes the film plot.

Optimus Prime, Ironhide and Bumblebee have been confirmed so far has playable Autobots and Megatron and Starscream as playable Decepticons. There will also be new characters made just for the game based on G1 (the original series) Transformers. You will be able to change between Robot and Vehicle mode at any time as well. The developers are hoping the movies voice actors will voice the game too.

The gameplay across all versions will be at the core similar, and only changed based on control scheme, except the DS version to have touch screen something and the Wii version to take full use of the Wii, however how this well actually happen has not been revealed. PSP version will online and offline multiplayer.

Hopefully Transformers: The Game will be as good as the one released a couple of years ago by Atari. Well keep you updated on the games progress at the launch nears.
