Nintendo Letter Box will be free and available from the eShop
Nintendo said they were looking into getting messaging up on the system, and it looks like theyve finally delivered. Instead of using the in-built Friends List app, Nintendo has announced a new eShop app called Nintendo Letter Box (Swapnote in the US). This app will go beyond simple messages though as it will allow messages to be sent in 3D and you will even be able to attach sounds and video to the messages.
Messages will be able to be sent out via StreetPass and SpotPass as well. The app will be free from the eShop this December and will no doubt calm a few people down who were waiting on this to be added to the 3DS.
