Those people who are lining up for their Wiis tonight best read the following, EB Games tell us that no price-matching will be done at EB Games Stores, BEFORE 9am, Thurs. 7th of December. Regardless of whether or not a catalogue can be shown it won’t be done, even if that’s done in the hours leading up to midnight, tomorrow.
More inside You want to price-match… You’ll just have to wait until 9am when EB Games can check with competitors to see if the items in question are in stock. That’s the reason that showing a catalogue won’t make a difference.
EB is still required under Store Policies, to enquire as to the status of the stock. If the store from which a price-match is requested from, doesn’t have the item in stock, then it’s just too bad. EB Games is not obligated to match.
So if you want to pick up some of the cheaper $79 dollar games from retailers, it might be best to wait till the morning. Of course this is the General company line and all stores may not follow this exactly but if your still unsure ring your store prior to midnight.
