EAs Playground heading to Wii and DS

EA has revealed via IGN that it is working on a brand new and original game for the Wii and DS which at the moment is called EA Playground. Developed by EA Canada, the games will use each systems unique controls schemes to bring a collection of fun playground type games to each system. The game will feature an extensive single player mode but also it is designed like Wii Sports as a multiplayer experience that you can play with your friends.

More Inside On the Wii, the game will feature playground games which best suit the Wii remote and its motion sensing controls. Dodge Ball was used as one example as well as RC (Remote Control) Cars. The DS version will make use of the touch and dual screens as well as the microphones.

While this game is generally being aimed at kids, with all games on the Wii being easy pick up and play games and containing things such as sticker collecting when you participate in games, it’s definitely great to see EA creating a game thats original and best yet, being built for the Wii and DS specifically not a port. EA will officially announce game later this week and we should have some screen shots and a video for you then.
