Born from the fact that Shigeru Miyamoto owns a cat, the title will take the Nintendogs experience to a whole new level
Nintendo this morning revealed a sequel to the DSs multi-million seller Nintendogs. Its called Nintendogs + cats and, its a no-brainer, you will soon be able to own kittens as well as puppies.
In the original Nintendogs, you were able to interact with your puppies by speaking into the DSs microphone and using the touchscreen to pat your puppies. In Nintendogs + cats, the game will make use of the 3DSs internal camera to allow your pets to interact with you by sight. For example, if you tilt your head to one side, your pet could mimic you. Cute!
It also opens up the possibility of face recognition. So if you hand your 3DS to someone else, your pet, depending on its personality, may react by barking or coming in to lick them. Interaction among pets and owners is a big part of the game, so expect to see a ton of unique actions your puppies and kittens can do as they play around together.
The 3DSs graphical improvements also mean that your pets now have fur! Thats definitely a deal breaker for me!
