E3 2010: 3DS to have friends lists and achievements?

EA has perhaps let a little bit of information the 3DSs online abilities sneak out

There isn’t much we know about how the 3DS’s online abilities will work. Sure, we know it’ll be connected all the time and it doesn’t matter what game you have in the 3DS either. But in an interview posted on Nintendo’s E3 site EA’s Ryan Stradling in an interview says the online for 3DS will be great. How so? Well here’s what he said;

Playing games is about playing with my friends, and I want to know when my other friends are online, and that’s going to give me the ability and it’s also going to let me know what games they’re playing, real-time updates that I can get via that, sports scores because I’m interested in sports, exchanging achievements with other players that are in 3D. When you look at the DS penetration rate, there’s going to be a lot of friends for me to go talk to and communicate with.

The real question is, is this just an EA thing or will Nintendo have this in the system? Chalk this one up to a ‘yes please’.
