E3 2008: N64 Classic Banjo Kazooie heading to XBLA

In what some fans may see as a slap to the face, Rare have announced today that Banjo Kazooie will be hitting the Xbox Live Arcade, following the controversy that Goldeneye’s Xbox Live Arcade rendition faced. Designed to be a promotional tie-in with the up and coming Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, the Xbox Live Arcade version will revive a much remembered feature of the Nintendo 64 platformer – the Stop N Swop function, which will be fully functional and compatible with Nuts & Bolts once it sees a release. More inside What’s interesting to note is that CVG are reporting that all Nintendo references have been left in tact. Could this be a sign of an agreement between Nintendo and Microsoft to share the franchise?
